Electrical Operations Manager

Location: Uddingston

Emtec Petroleum Ltd are looking to recruit an Electrical Operations Manager either with experience or looking to step up a level within an office environment. We have some really exciting projects to deliver within the petroleum retail market throughout the UK across our blue chip client base over the coming years.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Ability to sequence and programme works, utilising different programme types
• Production of procurement schedules
• Establishing scope of work, specifications, programmes and cost control of sub-contracted works
• Understanding of specifications and drawings
• Understanding of the contract and contract conditions and obligations
• Ability to survey and report on existing installations
• Ability to check drawings for accuracy and build ability
• Seek advice from specialists as required
• Maintain manual or computerised schedules as required
• Undertake site and works visits as required by the execution of his / her duties
• Production of risk assessments and methods of work to comply with the Health and Safety requirements and legislation
• Control and monitor the production of site labour
• Assist in the preparation of tenders for new works
• Take off and requisition materials in a timely manner
• Monitor and report on programme and progress
• Report on all aspects of the work scope under his / her control

The knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are:

• Experience of working on M&E contracts
• 18th edition Electrical Certification [ upgrade training provided if required]
• Basic skills and knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to read and interpret drawings
• Ability to produce reports
• Capable of working with minimum supervision
• Ability and willingness to travel and work within the office and throughout the UK
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communications skills
• Full UK Driving Licence

• Experience of being in charge of a minimum of two to six members of staff
• Experience in planning and executing programmes for building services projects
• HNC/Degree qualification
• Experience in production of O&M Manuals and drawings
• Adept with Microsoft Office programmes
• Experience within Petrol Retail Market
• Compex 1 – 4 or 7- 8
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to produce and deliver presentations

Package - Negotiable, based on experience

Hours are 8.30 am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm
