Apprentices and Awards

Emtec apprenticeship programme continues to provide some of the most highly trained individuals and future talent of our industry. Since 2003, Emtec have successfully developed in house grown talent, supported by a number of colleges and training bodies.  We currently have a total of 73 mechanical and electrical apprentices across our group.

2018 sees further recognition of this as we have 3 apprentices as finalists in the SECTT Apprentice of the Year competitions and one already awarded for BESA.

Andy Grant – BESA H&V Welder Apprentice of the Year
Connor McQueenie – SECTT 2nd Stage Apprentice of the Year, Edinburgh College (Sighthill Campus)
Gary Tickle – SECTT 1st Stage Apprentice of the Year, Edinburgh College (Sighthill Campus)
Andrew McElhill - SECTT 2nd Stage Apprentice of the Year, West College Scotland (Clydebank Campus)

The SECTT apprentices all go forward to their respective regional finals taking place this month and if successful from there go forward to Scotland finals.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the boys and wish them every luck in the regional finals.
