We follow good practice throughout Emtec Group, allowing us to preserve the quality of the environment. We are committed to demonstrating compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and implementing sustainable work practices that positively contribute to our environmental performance.

Our approach to environmental management is governed by the following principles:

• The Environmental Policy applies to all Emtec Group companies, the Managing Director of each Emtec Group company is responsible for implementing this Policy within their business. Managing Directors have overall responsibility for the environmental performance of their company.
• Emtec Group will adopt appropriate measures to fulfil our statutory obligations and ensure appropriate liaison and co-operation with relevant authorities. All operations are carried out in compliance with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, corporate directives, approved codes of practice, appropriate customer specifications and other requirements
• We will produce environmental action plans with realistic and achievable objectives and targets appropriate to business circumstances; then monitor, review and update the plans annually.
• We will actively involve employees and those working on behalf of the company, ensure appropriate training is given to raise awareness and provide an appreciation of environmental issues. This policy is the direct concern of all employees, and management shall communicate and consult with employees on environmental issues.
• Emtec Group are committed to maintaining the ISO14001:2015 certification.

Specific consideration is given to pertinent environmental topics, including:

• Water – Limit water consumption through innovative technologies and responsible actions
• Pollution – Eliminate environmental incidents and reduce levels of airborne pollutants through adherence to all relevant legislation and guidance
• Waste – Handle and dispose of waste in a responsible manner, while also reducing waste-to-landfill through responsible purchasing, reuse, recovery and recyclin
• Energy & fuel – Continually improve efficiency through optimisation of operations
• Carbon emissions – Reduce emissions through investment in renewables and low-carbon travel
• Biodiversity – Protect and enhance biodiversity through nature-positive practices
