Emtec Energy partnered with Diageo's Global Supply Chain division to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability at their Leven bottling facility. This collaboration led to the creation of Scotland's largest private wire-connected PV system, featuring advanced SolarEdge technology. Emtec provided comprehensive services, including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning. A key challenge was overcoming local grid capacity constraints, which was resolved through proactive engagement with the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) and the implementation of an export limitation scheme, enabling swift deployment.
The project supports Diageo's net-zero ambitions by significantly reducing their carbon footprint. Emtec's partnership with Diageo and EON underscores their expertise in delivering innovative, sustainable energy solutions while maintaining rigorous safety standards at the Upper Tier Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) site.
System Summary:
Total System Size: 4.2MW
