Emtec Energy supported Sunderland City Council's sustainability goals by installing a solar PV system and battery storage at the new Parsons Depot, an EV fleet storage and maintenance hub. Emtec collaborated closely with the council to install a solar PV array and a state-of-the-art battery storage system.
The installation aligns with the council’s aim to become carbon neutral by 2040, offering significant environmental and economic benefits. By reducing operating costs and leveraging sustainable energy, the project provides a strategic asset for essential services such as fleet management, highways operations, and refuse collection, contributing to the council’s long-term sustainability.
