Emtec Core & Protect first successfully completed contract with Balfour Beattie. Works involved fire stopping throughout the new build secondary school to ensure all services/voids through compartment walls and floors were compliantly fire stopped in line with the building’s fire compartmentation design.

All works were recorded using software utilised by Core & Protect which enables their operatives to record installations as they go, with before and after pictures, which ultimately form part of a completion report detailing the location, date of installation, and name of installer of each individual fire stop.

As fire stopping works often go on to be hidden above ceilings, the reports produced by Core & Protect are invaluable in terms of traceability, evidencing compliance, and providing their client with the peace of mind that the works have been undertaken without the need to remove ceilings to inspect.
